Title: Estimator Project Locations: Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Sheffield, London Office Location: Manchester Salary: £40k - £60k (experience depending) Package: 22 Hols + Bank, Pension (3% employer, 5% employee), Healthcare, Travel paid (including to office) Start: End of August (depending on notice period) Shift Pattern/Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm My client is a nationwide Groundwork & Formwork subcontractor who specialise in city centre high rise developments, working in conjunction with Tier 1 Contractors. Due to continued growth and an increase in the number of high rise developments going up across major UK cities they are looking to add another Estimator to the Manchester team. With a view of bringing on a Junior Estimator shortly after. Overview: They are currently looking for either an Intermediate Estimator with 2-4 years’ experience in either Groundworks or Concrete Frames or they’re looking for a Senior Estimator with experience in Concrete Frames. Ideally you will have experience in cost planning, pricing, and preparing procurement packs for tender. You will also be able to challenge the pre-construction and design teams when necessary and liaise effectively with the Quantity Surveyors. In the medium to long term this role offers an opportunity for growth, with the potential to oversee a Junior Estimator in the future. Responsibilities: Cost Planning and Pricing: Prepare accurate cost plans and pricing for High rise Concrete Frame projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. Procurement Preparation: Take ownership of procurement packs, getting them ready for tender. Team Collaboration: Challenge the pre-construction team to ensure the best outcomes for the project. Liaison with Quantity Surveyors: Understand and communicate effectively with QSs to ensure accurate and comprehensive project costing. Project Involvement: Be involved throughout the design process (up to 8 weeks) and manage the project from start to finish over a two-week period. Site Visits: Conduct site visits as required to gather information and ensure project requirements are met. Must Have: Proven Experience as an Estimator in either Civils, Groundworks or Concrete Frames.
