About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of the school by providing classroom supervision in the absence of teachers. Working across a range of subjects, you will deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, maintain classroom discipline, and support students with their learning. Key Responsibilities
- Supervising classes and ensuring students stay engaged with the provided work.
- Managing classroom behavior in line with school policies and ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Providing guidance and support to students during lessons.
- Assisting with administrative tasks and supporting school events as required.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a school or youth setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to students and staff.
- Adaptable and able to respond effectively to various classroom situations.
- A genuine interest in supporting young people's education.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent); further education is an advantage.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).
