My client are a leading EPC based in West London, they currently have a requirement within their consultancy team and are looking for a Senior Compliance Engineer with Process and Mechanical experience to join their them.
You will be part of a team that are an integral part of the business initiatives ensuring the successful delivery of Consultancy projects in the Oil and Gas and New Energies markets.
What will you be doing?
As a key member of the team, you will:
Regulatory Standards & Compliance: Identify and interpret regulatory standards for the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors; provide compliance guidance from design through to commissioning. Experience in the Nuclear industry would be appreciated.
Design & Optimization Support: Assist in FEED design, optimization studies, lifecycle costing, and analysis to ensure regulatory compliance.
Regulatory Education & Best Practices: Educate teams on regulatory requirements and establish best practices to mitigate compliance issues early in the design process.
Compliance Leadership: Lead validation, verification, and certification activities across the entire project lifecycle, including procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Collaboration & Regulation Monitoring: Collaborate with third-party certification agencies and stay updated on relevant regulations and standards for Aker Solutions’ products and markets.
Compliance Maintenance & Standardization: Monitor and enhance existing compliance setups and standardize pressure equipment delivery for HVDC and Oil & Gas projects.
Technical Support & Safeguarding: Support detailed design development, provide technical input for regulatory requirements, and ensure the safety and compliance of pressure equipment systems.
We think you should have:
Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; must be a Chartered Engineer.
Core Knowledge & Design Skills: Proficiency in process, marine, and utility systems; strong understanding of piping and pressure vessel design, material behavior, and relevant regulations (e.g., API, ASME, DNV).
Regulatory Compliance & Certification: Extensive experience in regulatory compliance, verification, and certification services for Oil & Gas facilities; knowledge of UK, EU, US offshore, Onshore regulations, and DNV standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled in working with cross-functional teams and managing multi-company project deliveries.
Relationship Building: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with business and functional leaders.
Integrity & Ethics: High standards of personal integrity and ethics.
Project Management & Communication: Competent in project management, with the ability to prioritize, work independently, and explain complex topics to various stakeholders.
Certification Requirements: Deep understanding of certification requirements from bodies such as DNV, LR, and ABS.
