Quantity Surveyor – Residential Developer
Up to £60k DOE plus company package

About the Company:
My client is a privately owned mid-size developer in London. They typically deliver high quality traditional houses ranging from 2-5 bed, on plots of 10-50. They are a part of a highly successful, financially strong construction group with over £300m turnover. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business and work to your own procedures.
About the Role:
Our client is currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor. At present they are expanding their business and have new projects starting next year. Your duties will include but not limited to:
* Prepare draft budgets and site start budgets for each project assigned to the Quantity Surveyor.
* Generate quarterly valuations and conduct material “cost to complete” assessments for each site under the Quantity Surveyor’s responsibility.
* Process sub-contract payments and final accounts, ensuring they are signed off by the sub-contractor.
* Create sub-contract orders, ensuring they are authorized by the designated representative and include all necessary documentation to comply with Group Commercial Policy.
* Manage cost control and monitor changes effectively.
* Procurement of materials.
About the benefits / rewards:
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £60k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.
Requirements:
* Degree preferred
* Performed a similar role within the construction industry
* Current CSCS card or equivalent is desirable
* A keen interest in construction
* Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
* Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines
* IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems
