In this role, you will be instrumental in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to individual learning needs, helping students reach their personal and academic milestones. Key Responsibilities of a Science Teacher (SEN): Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support student learning. Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and caregivers. Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external professionals to ensure holistic support. Promote social, emotional, and academic development. Ensure that every student is supported in reaching their full potential. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or specialization in SEN. Comprehensive knowledge of various special educational needs and adaptable teaching methods. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to teaching. Commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities for all students. Familiarity with relevant SEN frameworks and legislation (e.g., EHCPs). Ability to commute to Luton.
