About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Parkstone. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with a range of special educational needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Assisting in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and adapting learning activities to meet the needs of students. Encouraging positive social interaction and fostering a safe, supportive learning environment. Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to monitor and record student progress. Providing personal care when required, ensuring the well-being of the students at all times.
About You:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable. A patient, empathetic approach with a strong commitment to supporting the development of all students. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A flexible and proactive attitude, able to adapt to the changing needs of the students. Relevant qualifications in education or special needs are advantageous, but not essential.
