I am currently looking for a Rolling Stock Trainer Assessor to work in the area of Long Marsden. A Rolling Stock background is essential with the successful candidate having experience of train driving and has previously designed and delivered training to rail operatives. Our client Our client offers high-quality, digitally enabled rolling stock solutions that contribute hugely towards the success of Britain's railways. They not only own and lease new rolling stock vehicles but also offer asset management which is focussed on driving performance, safety and suitability for the asset's life span. Our client has over 100 Engineers and Fleet Support staff working directly on their passenger fleets, alongside key Relationship Managers, who hold a deep understanding of their customers' requirements with their existing fleets and investment opportunities into new rolling stock. You will be responsible for: * Development, implementation, and management of operational training plans covering all rail operations related roles * Carry out a training needs analysis for all rail operatives at Long Marston RIC and periodically review to ensure solutions remain current and fit for purpose * Delivery of operational training (theory & practical) to rail operatives * Development, implementation, and management of a competence management system (CMS) for rail related operations at Long Marston, aligned to the framework set out in ORR guidance document * Update/ refine operational training in line with business needs and industry good practice * Ensure personal competence files are in place and maintained for all rail operatives * Carry out competence assessments for rail operatives General requirements: * Recognised formal training qualification (i.e. City & Guilds or equivalent) * Recognised formal assessor qualification (i.e. A1/ A2 or equivalent) * IOSH Managing Safety (Desirable) * Trained risk assessor * Trained accident investigator * Excellent knowledge of railway operations (Mainline & Depot) * Conversant with Railway Rule Book * Conversant with relevant Health & Safety Legislation and Rail Industry Standards * Extensive experience in performing rail operations including train driving (mainline & depot), and shunting * Previous experience in delivering rail operations training and performing competence assessments Contact information: Email: (url removed) Due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
