Senior Civil & Structural Engineer – Renfrew Based Altrad are currently expanding in Renfrew due to a number of project successes within our Major Projects business. To support this growth we anticipate the need for an experienced Civil & Structural Engineer with familiarity in STAAD Pro or similar design software to contribute to delivering high quality, cost effective solutions within the team. As part of the opportunity you will be required to participate in site visits and surveys to gather information for design development when necessary. Ideally your experienced will have lead you to be skilled within onshore, downstream Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Cleaner Energy solutions industries. Applications will be considered on a staff or contract basis with hybrid working arrangements. Why Altrad? The appointed Senior Engineer will develop and prep detailed civil and structural design documents, including layouts, reports and calculations while supporting the Principal / Lead Engineer in reviewing and checking design deliverables. Day to day you will generate and present technical documentation, reports, share insights and provide project progress, when necessary you will engage with cross-disciplinary teams and clients to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and safely. You will also: Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in line with industry regulations. Contribute to identifying and delivering work process improvements. Support the civil and structural engineering and design activities for projects. Deliver accurate and high-quality civil and structural design documentation. Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and client requirements. Collaborate effectively with project teams to achieve project objectives. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design team. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in civil and structural engineering. So what do you need to be considered? Qualifications & Experience: Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng Hons) or a related discipline. Chartered Engineer with a relevant Institution, or working towards Chartership. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A self-starter who can also thrive in team settings. A commitment to ethical and professional standards. Genuine enthusiasm for engineering and continuous personal development. Key Competencies: Good knowledge of civil and structural design principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in using relevant design and analysis software. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes. Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
