Job Title: Cover Supervisor (Secondary Schools) Location: Belper, Derbyshire Contract: Day-to-Day, Part-Time, Full-Time Options Available Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience) Aspire People is currently recruiting for experienced Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools in and around Belper, Derbyshire. About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classes in the absence of the regular class teacher. You will deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused and engaged with the set tasks. No lesson planning is required; your role is to supervise and guide students through the work that has already been prepared. Responsibilities: Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students complete the set tasks. Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, respectful learning environment. Support students as needed to ensure they remain on task and engaged. Follow the lesson plans provided, ensuring that students complete the work set by the teacher. Ensure the classroom is left tidy and organised at the end of each lesson. About You: Essential: Previous experience working in secondary schools with Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 students. Confident in managing classroom behaviour and delivering pre-planned lessons. Strong communication and organisational skills. Reliable, flexible, and professional in your approach to work.
