Python Developer – Commodities Front Office Technology Location: London (3 days per week on-site, occasional visits to Bromley) Duration: 12 months (high expectation of extension) Are you a skilled Python Developer looking to work in a dynamic Front Office environment? A leading financial institution’s Commodities Front Office Technology team is seeking a motivated Python Developer to join their London team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that supports Commodities Traders in managing positions efficiently. What You’ll Do: Write intelligent, efficient, and maintainable code to help Commodities Traders manage their positions Assist in onboarding remaining Commodities desks (including power, index, and precious metals) to a new Live/Intraday Risk Engine Enhance Greeks, Scenarios, and PnL feeds for Market Risk and Middle Office teams Develop regulatory risk reporting for commodities (FRTB/SFRC) Potentially contribute to projects consolidating trade capture, pricing, and risk generation across multiple business lines (FICC Equities) What We’re Looking For: Strong software development experience in Python Excellent communication skills to collaborate with Front Office, Finance, Traders, and Quants Experience working with pricing and analytics for Commodities derivatives or other asset classes Experience working on or closely with a trading desk in banking or buy-side environments Familiarity with Agile development practices Self-motivated with a drive to solve complex financial and technical problems Why Join Us?
