Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker? Do you have experience working as an Independent Reviewing Officer? Randstad are recruiting a Qualified Social Worker to join Blackpool Council's Cared for Children team as an IRO. This is a full time role, offering a fantastic pay rate of £40 per hour. Continuously monitor the implementation of children's care plans to ensure they are meeting statutory requirements and aligned with the child's needs, development, and wishes. Ensure the child's voice is central to the planning and review process by advocating for their needs and rights, ensuring their views are heard and considered at every stage. Challenge local authority decisions and escalate concerns when necessary, ensuring timely interventions to safeguard the child's well-being. Contribute to the overall quality assurance of services by identifying areas for improvement in care planning and practice and providing feedback to social work teams and management. Liaise with social workers, foster carers, health professionals, education providers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to the child's care. Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of review meetings, decisions, and recommendations in line with organizational policies and legal requirements. Ensure that all care planning and reviewing processes comply with statutory frameworks, including the Children Act 1989 and relevant regulations. Act as a safeguarding lead during reviews, ensuring all potential safeguarding concerns are identified and addressed promptly.
