Hays are recruiting on behalf of a Northern Ireland based Civil Engineering and construction company for a SHEQ Manager on a permanent basis to work as part of their continuously growing, highly successful civil engineering team. With a strong pipeline of work ranging from water infrastructure to public realm regeneration, you can expect a wide base of knowledge and professional experience at your disposal.
Your new role
As a SHEQ Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing HSEQ on a range of civil engineering schemes from water infrastructure and public realm to minor civils schemes based entirely within Northern Ireland. You will be responsible for advising staff on all HSE matters, ensuring company health and safety is implemented and complied with.
You will be tasked with producing and completing risk assessments & method statements alongside conducting site audits & inspections across all projects. You will lead and deliver health & safety initiative to help raise awareness of risks and hazards, including organising and conducting staff training and inductions.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered successful for the role, you will have previous experience in a similar role within a construction environment. You'll demonstrate a knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with an understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. You will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree.
