Teaching Assistant - SEN Provision (Primary School) - Walton We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our Primary School's on-site SEN provision in Walton, supporting children across KS1 and KS2. This full-time position runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, starting on 4th November 2024. Role Overview: In this role, you'll work closely with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties (including non-verbal students). You'll play a vital role in supporting these young learners, providing tailored interventions, assisting with communication, and helping to create a safe, inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities: Supporting children with SEN in both group and one-to-one settings Assisting with personalised learning plans and intervention activities Communicating effectively with non-verbal children and helping develop alternative communication strategies Collaborating with the SEN team to foster a nurturing and positive learning environment Providing personal care as requiredRequirements: Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD, or communication needs Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting every child's potential Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to individual needsThis is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
