Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at a renowned SEND Further Education College in Lancaster. This is a full-time vacancy across two learning pathways with an immediate start, offering an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
Teach a diverse range of subject pathway areas including Employability Skills, Independent Living Skills, and Skills for Work. Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive, and adapted lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students. Support students in building the skills necessary for independence and successful transitions into adulthood and the workforce. Work collaboratively with other staff members, including teaching assistants and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting the well-being and personal growth of all students. Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a further education setting. Strong understanding of SEND education, with a focus on employability and independent living skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents. Patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young adults with special needs.

Salary
£600-£800 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Recent, relevant experience working with young people or adults with SEND learning needs.
