Aspire People are seeking dedicated and experienced Cover Teachers to work in secondary schools across Burton-on-Trent. This is an exciting opportunity for educators looking for day-to-day, part-time, or full-time positions with flexible scheduling.
About the Role:
As a Cover Teacher, you will:
Step in during the absence of the class teacher to deliver pre-planned lessons.
Work with students across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
Provide support and supervision, ensuring students remain on task and complete the set work.
Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
Ensure the continuity of learning by following the lesson plans provided.
All lesson plans and materials will be prepared for you. Your main responsibility is to deliver the set tasks and manage the classroom effectively in the absence of the regular teacher.
Requirements:
Previous teaching experience in secondary schools is essential.
Ability to work confidently with students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and year groups.
