Mission: Join our innovative team as a Lead Electrical Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager. In this role, you will lead, empower, and motivate a growing team of Electrical Engineers in semiconductor equipment manufacturing. You'll oversee projects from concept through to customer commissioning and field trials, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and compliance with specifications through best-practice engineering. Main Responsibilities: Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to transform ambiguity into clarity, delivering cost-effective products that meet all requirements and standards. Influence engineering teams to clarify work packages and deliverables while resolving engineering challenges effectively. Take accountability for technical elements of system or subsystem design, identifying risks and implementing control and mitigation strategies. Ensure modularity and standardization to maximize the reuse of engineering efforts. Oversee safety and type testing for your systems, validating compliance and approving relevant reports generated by the team. Mentor and coach a core team of Electrical Engineers, fostering their development into future leaders. Advocate for the adoption of best practices and new technologies across projects to enhance engineering delivery.Experience & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (essential); Master's degree or equivalent experience is desirable. Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (desirable). Significant experience in product design and electrical engineering within a relevant industry (essential). Proven leadership experience managing teams of 10 or more in a project-based environment (essential). Understanding of dependability management and relevant industry standards (desirable). Strong influencing and negotiation skills at multiple organizational levels (essential). Demonstrated ability to take ownership and guide teams towards successful outcomes (essential).
