Senior Document Controller – London
We're expanding, and we’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Document Controller to join our Thames Water Framework in Kentish Town, London.
You'll be the go-to expert, overseeing all project document flow to ensure the smooth and precise registration and storage of drawings, specifications, and records. You’ll work closely with site teams, design teams, and subcontractors, ensuring seamless collaboration across the board. Plus, you'll leverage your expertise to coach and guide others on using tools like Business Collaborator, Aconex, TWEXNet, and Project Hub. What you will be doing
Manage the requirements for document control on the projects to ensure implementation and compliance.
Identify contractual requirements in relation to Document Control
Ensure accurate control of documentation from pre-construction through to completion and archiving.
Liaise with the project teams to ensure they have a full understanding of document control and systems procedures and provide training and instructions.
Manage business archiving such that all documents are stored efficiently and can be accessed and always referenced.
Manage the quality check process for documents. Ensure correction of any that have typographical/formatting errors that may lead to the disqualification of the document.
The creation and maintenance of distribution lists / workflows / review cycles.
Manage the management of change by ensuring documents are processed correctly, made available to the commercial team, and linked to the contract documents via CDE where a tool allows.
Manage the collation and issue of handover documentation (O&M manuals, H&S files, as-built records, databooks, completion packs etc.)
Provide Aconex training for all project staff within 5 working days of starting.
Support site scanning of documents and records, ensure legibility and traceability ensuring documents have been uploaded
Assist with archiving of documents, ensure legibility and traceability. Note: archiving should be electronic unless the contract or legislation states otherwise.
Keep informed of any changes to BS1192 & PAS1192 and any other standards relating to document control.
Who we are looking for
Working knowledge of Document Management Systems such as ProjectWise, BIW and Aconex
Flexible with a can-do attitude.
Determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisation skills.
