Our client are a leading Builders Merchant providing Building Supplies to a mixture of trade and retail customers. Due to an internal move, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager position within their busy branch in the Sussex area. Helping to ensure the successful running of the branch, you will also deputise for the Branch Manager in his absence. The duties will include but are not limited to the following: - Provide Exceptional customer service to the customer base - Drive sales for the business ensuring suitable margin is kept to maximise profitability for the branch. - Manage the team members to keep them on track for their KPI's. - Help with the operational management of the branch. - Ensuring Health & Safety is adhered to within the branch at all times. Due to the nature of the sector, it is imperitive that the successful candidate have experience working within a Builders Merchant environment, or very similar such as a drainage merchant or roofing merchant. You will need to have both sales and operational skills and have supervisory or management experience.
