Quantity Surveyor

Your new company: A civil engineering contractor based near Manchester is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with Groundworks and Civil Engineering experience to join their team. Their expertise spans across groundworks, civil engineering, and highways, and traffic management for both public and private sector clients across the North West. Your new role : They are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience with CEMAR and, ideally, familiarity with NEC contracts. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage costs, prepare estimates, and ensure the financial success of their projects. Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans. Conduct cost analysis and risk management. Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams. Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions. Utilise CEMAR for contract management and reporting. Work with NEC contracts. What you'll need to succeed: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a similar role within the civil engineering sector. Proficiency with CEMAR. Familiarity with NEC contracts is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
