Junior Project Manager

JOB – Junior Project Manager (Mechanical Engineering) LOCATION – Rochester TERM- Permanent SALARY - £35,000-£45,000, dependent on experience   My client is a specialist machinery manufacturer supplying machinery into a range of sectors. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Rochester on a permanent basis.   The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes: Background in Mechanical Engineering (Degree qualified etc.) Project Management skills/ experience An educational or hands-on background in Engineering Technical Mechanical Engineering knowledge Be able to read engineering drawings / understand manufacturing processes Strong client-facing experience Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team Be flexible to travel as requiredResponsibilities include: Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress Working with design, purchasing and production departments Presenting project plans and reports to management Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues Maintaining technical documentation as required Mentoring junior members of the team Occasional travel as requiredIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
