We re currently supporting our client who is a specialist in machining solutions for customers in aerospace, automotive, medical, and other markets. They are now seeking an Application Engineer in their plans to expand the engineering team.

Position Overview:

Your main responsibilities will be to focus on the delivery of the turnkey engineering package that accompanies the machine tool sale. This will typically include planning of machining strategy, CNC programming, attaining First Article Inspection and completing all acceptance criteria. The Application Engineer will also be responsible for customer training with respect to machine operation and programming.

What we re looking for:

  • Engineering expertise: solid engineering experience, with at least four years of experience in a machine tool environment.
  • NC programming knowledge: proficiency in NC programming language. Familiarity with Fanuc & Okuma controls would be advantageous but not essential.
  • CAM and simulation: exposure to CAM packages for NC program generation and machine simulation is beneficial.
  • Tech enthusiast: a passion for embracing new technology is key.

  • Communication: excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivation: a high degree of self-motivation; you can work independently but also as part of a team.
  • Time management: effective time management to achieve project milestones.
