This role is based initially at our facility in Shepshed, Leicestershire, before moving to more time spent in the field following a successful training period. We are looking for a candidate who is seeking the training and progression to become a Service Engineer as part of our established team. The team supports our customers to achieve maximum uptime of Winbro equipment. To apply you need to have achieved a qualification (NVQ/HNC/HND) in an electrical discipline (with the exception of domestic). The day-to-day role: Maintenance, servicing and commissioning of EDM and laser machine tools. Preventive and reactive maintenance at customer sites. Maintenance of equipment within it's manufacturing facility. Providing installation and commissioning support for new systems and technical upgrade packages. Providing technical support and training internally and externally. If you are keen and able to travel to our customer sites both in the UK and worldwide (up to 40% total travel) in due course, then this could be the opportunity for you. Our current service engineers have a great blend of experience between them, meaning there is a flexible and considered approach to scheduling work trips. Requirements: We are looking for someone who can develop a clear and logical approach to fault finding complex electronic control systems as well as reactive service and preventative maintenance activities. You will need to have the potential to work alone, using your own initiative in the future but also be able to liaise with other team members in the interim for support and training. An electrical qualification and/or time served electrical apprenticeship is a pre-requisite.
