Join Our NPD - Process Team at The Compleat Food Group!
We are recruiting for a Senior Process Development Technologist to join our team.
To support in the effective delivery of the NPD, EPD and Continuous Improvement agenda across the group, in-line with the Compleat Food Group and customer category plans. Follow the Compleat Food Groups Product Launch Process effectively to deliver timely development of new and existing products in line with The Compleat Food Groups brand strategy, category pipeline plans and growth aspirations as well as meeting all Compleat brand and/or customer standards.

Location and shifts: Clitheroe, Monday Thursday: 8:30am 5pm and Friday: 8:30am 4pm. The role is predominantly site based. Working from home on request on ad hoc basis.
Salary: £35,000 annually
Key Accountabilities:
Delivery of NPD & EPD trials and product launches at site to required cost and within agreed timescales
Complete trial documentation, obtaining and analysing relevant data
Ensuring successful scale up of products meet site food safety and technical standards
Actively participate in scoping and feasibility review of all NPD & EPD projects
Work alongside other Development team members across multiple projects to bring new products and processes to life across multiple accounts.
Lead/support factory product sign off panels with retailers/brand managers, ensuring QAS documentation is accurate
Organise product testing and complete organoleptic sensory shelf life reviews
Food Safety, Quality & Integrity Responsibilities:
All site food safety, hygiene and quality rules and policies must be adhered to at all times.
Health, Safety & Environment Responsibilities:
Company SHE policies and responsibilities must be followed and adhered to across sites
Key Performance Indicators:
Organise product testing and complete organoleptic sensory shelf life reviews
Quality & accuracy of information
Timely and accurate completion of tasks
Appropriate and timely escalation
Building a demonstrable understanding of RM parameters and production requirements
Facilitating successful feasibility presentations
Confidence in providing intelligent solutions to problem solving
Gaining and developing knowledge to independently propose recipe development solutions
Develop awareness of costing pitfalls/robustness of costing provided
Supporting the resolution of quality issues
Support the delivery of ESG targets and building them proactively into product development
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Qualifications:
Food based degree - desirable
3 years + experience in Process Technology role in FMCG environment
Key Skills:
Knowledge of product launch process and specifically post-handover kitchen to factory trial process and subsequent product launch
Trial data analysis
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Strong planning, organisation and project management skills
Good analytical and numeracy skills
Attention to detail
Good level of computer literacy Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams Recipe Professor desirable
Understanding of UK and European food regulation and legislation
Driving Licence desirable
Line management skills desirable
