Job Title: Centre Manager - Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Digital Health Technologies Department/School: School of Engineering Campus: Belfast Salary: £47,874 - £51,768 per annum Duration: Permanent / Full-time Closing Date: 6th November 2024 Reference Number: 031342 - ABOUT US - We are a university with a national and international reputation for excellence, innovation and regional engagement, making a major contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of Northern Ireland Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - Ulster University has partnered with University College London to secure funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to establish a Centre for Doctoral Training in Digital Health Technologies (tech4health). Recruiting 75 PhD researchers, the £11.7m Centre will train the next generation of digital health researchers and innovators who will develop and advance the future state of digital health technologies. Established as one single centre hosted across Ulster University and UCL, the centre will provide specialist training for researchers and innovators in digital health technologies for the community-acute care (home-hospital) ecosystem. The Ulster tech4health Centre Manager will act as the first point of contact for the CDT activities at Ulster and will play a key role in its strategic development and operational delivery. They will provide leadership in day-to-day professional services activities across the Centre and Project-manage collaborations with internal (Ulster) and external (academic, industry, charity, hospital) partners. The post holder will report to the Ulster academic lead on the project and will involve working closely with our counterparts at University College London (e.g. UCL academic lead and UCL CDT Centre Manager). We may create a 12-month waiting list for same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts. - ABOUT YOU - The postholder will be required to have: - A Degree. - Significant experience in an administrative role with clear evidence of successful delivery against set objectives and an extensive working knowledge of management of academic and/or training related activities. - Experience of working within the research and development landscape with an understanding and knowledge of global factors impacting on future developments.
