About The Role
Bid Manager- Permanent Opportunity
Division: Civil Engineering
Location: Manchester

Helping to win profitable work for the GRAHAM business, the Bid Manager will play a lead role in the production of a diverse range of high-quality submissions to our clients throughout the UK and Ireland.
Were looking for someone with experience to deliver high-quality, competitive submissions to our clients.
The successful Bid Manager will be comfortable and capable in leading and co-ordinating in-house staff from our SHEQ; Planning; Design Management; Commercial and HR Departments; as well as our external design consultants and supply chain partners.
The Bid Manager will be the key interface between the Client and GRAHAM.
The candidate will be a skilful team player, with knowledge of Civil Engineering practices and will be well organised to ensure delivery within stringent deadlines.
The Bid Manager shall: Agree Bid targets, in terms of quality, programme and cost
Report on the progress of each tender opportunity regularly throughout the tender period
Liaise with other GRAHAM staff, design teams and supply chain.
Present for approval, key information including technical responses and commercial strategy
Maintain relevant databases including Sharepoint and ensure information is complete.
Follow core GRAHAM business systems and policies.
Identify and implement ways to continually improve submissions using Debrief information and Lessons learnt.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential Demonstrate a good understanding of the Civil Engineering market
Have thorough understanding of construction techniques
Understand engineering design principles
Comprehensive understanding of the tendering process within the construction industry
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Extensive experience of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Access to a car and have a clean driving licence
Desirable Educated to Degree level or equivalent
Experience in a Bid Management role
Experience of delivering Construction projects.
