About the role: SEN Teaching Assistant: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the ARP unit at a warm and inclusive 3-form entry Church of England primary school in Romford. If you have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and are ready to take on a rewarding role, this is the perfect opportunity for you! You will work closely with a supportive SEN team in the school’s specialist ARP unit, dedicated to providing tailored support to children with ASD and other additional needs. Your role will include working 1:1 and in small groups, assisting with academic tasks, supporting emotional and social development, and ensuring every child feels valued and understood.

Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with ASD or similar SEN.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and group support to children with ASD in the ARP unit.
• Assist with academic tasks, using creative and adaptive approaches.
• Support the emotional and social development of students.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalized learning plans.
