CNC Miller

Mon - Thurs - 07:30am - 16:30pm
Fri 07:30am - 12:30pm
Salary: 15- 17ph
The CNC Miller will operate, set, and program CNC milling machines to produce precision components for our manufacturing processes. Working with engineering drawings and technical specifications, the CNC Miller will ensure accuracy and quality in each product while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Programming: Operate CNC milling machines and interpret CNC programs to produce parts to precise dimensions and tight tolerances.
- Setup and Calibration: Set up machines by installing and aligning fixtures, tools, and materials. Calibrate the machine for the correct dimensions and materials, following engineering specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshooting: Detect any machine malfunctions or issues and take appropriate action to repair or adjust as necessary.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on machines, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Documentation & Reporting: Record production data, maintain logs, and prepare reports as required. Provide feedback on the machining process to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the quality control, engineering, and production teams to improve processes and product quality.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensure proper handling of materials, and comply with workplace standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or apprenticeship in machining is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC milling in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with CNC programming and G-code.
- Familiarity with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks) is a plus.
- Strong skills in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of machining practices.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
