TEAM TEACH is a must.
Are you a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a Team Teach qualification and a strong background in supporting students with Autism? We are seeking a dedicated professional to work with a challenging 6th form student with ASD at a school in Hounslow. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment.
What You’ll Do:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support for a 6th form student with Autism, helping them navigate daily learning and social challenges.
* Implement behaviour strategies in line with Team Teach training to manage and de-escalate challenging situations effectively.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to develop and follow individual learning and behaviour plans.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
* Adapt learning materials to meet the specific needs of the student.
* Provide feedback to teachers and SENCO, contributing to reports on student progress.
What We’re Looking For:
* Team Teach qualification is essential.
* Proven experience working with students with Autism, ideally in a 6th form setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
