We are excited to be working with an award-winning book publisher on a newly created role of Head of Marketing for their digital portfolio across the Humanities and Social Sciences lists. The role will lead the creation and execution of the global marketing plan for the suite of digital products in many different subject areas, including History, Philosophy and Food Benefits ·Salary: £52,000 - £58,000 ·Location: London (2 days in the office) ·Holiday: 25 days bank holidays Christmas closure ·Staff discount on books ·Wellness days ·In-house company doctor And many other amazing benefits Full details will be provided on application About you : The preferred candidate will come with a marketing background in publishing (ideally in academic), good team management skills and solid knowledge of strategic campaign planning and multi-channel marketing. They will be a strategically-minded marketeer with a good understanding of marketing to academic libraries and the broader academic community, and possess good presentation abilities (both with customers and internal teams) You will be able to bring your imagination and entrepreneurial spirit to the role to come up with creative plans and promotions that engage the library market and the end users alike. The Role: The Head of Marketing will be responsible for the overall planning and oversight of the marketing plan, working in close association with Sales, Product Management and Editorial teams to drive brand awareness and growth of the Humanities and Social Sciences products. You will lead the implementation of an integrated marketing strategy across digital marketing, event strategy, social media, email campaigns, content marketing, and more. They will have line management duties for four members of staff, and lead the direction of the global marketing strategy. You will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the key audiences, including librarians, students, faculty, and researchers within the various subject areas, and create tailored marketing campaigns and programs. You will also build a good knowledge of the competitive landscape and feedback to Sales and Product Development teams with your insights of the market.
