Lead Web Developer

Lead Developer (PHP) Hybrid - York Hands-on, but with oversight of 4 devs. Our client is looking for an experienced developer with over 5 years of expertise in Laravel or Symfony to join their collaborative technical team. You will work closely with a small group of 4 developers, alongside a wider team of PMs, UX/UI Designers and Marketing professionals. Key Responsibilities: Develop high-quality, scalable code with a focus on reusability and thorough testing. Lead the design and implementation of project architecture. Ensure the reliability and performance of platforms through proactive monitoring and maintenance. Oversee cloud infrastructure management to ensure seamless operation and scalability. Collaborate with project management, UX, and design teams to ensure projects are accurately scoped and planned. Support new business initiatives as needed. Maintain detailed technical documentation. Skills: Experience using PHP (Laravel, Symfony ideal) Proficiency in React and TypeScript . Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is ideal Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is ideal WordPress experience is a plus. Digital agency experience a plus.
