Architectural Technologist

Architectural Technologist Position. I have an exciting opportunity to work for a progressive, successful main building contractor. The business is looking to appoint an Archtectural Technologist to be based in their offices in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Architectural Technologist wishing to take thier career to the next stage. The Architectural Technologist will work alongside the design and Land team to produce and manage the design process from planning to build stage, Riba stages 1 - 3. Architectural Technologist responsibilities include: * Review, comment and develop designs with site constraints in mind * Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures * Assist the DM with identifying the required surveys needed before work can commence, ensuring once completed they are incorporated into the design * Prepare and present design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and other design software. * Assist and engage with appropriate authorities (e.g. planning) when producing documentation for statutory approval * Produce, analyse and advise on detailed specifications for suitable materials to be used based upon local principles and vernacularProduce design and access statement for planning to justify the design of the development * Carry out design-stage risk assessments * Provide input to the development team on BREEAM elements of the scheme at planning stage * Mange the work of trainee Technologists and contribute to the overall running of the business Architectural Technologist requirements * Degree and Masters qualified in industry related subject. * Part I or Part II qualified in Architecture. * Experience as Assistant/Architectural Technician, Building Technologist is essential * M/CIAT – Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists * RIBA – Royal Institute of British Architects Architectural Technologist Skills * Excellent communicator * Architectural Technologist * Organised * Self-motivated * Results driven * Be able to effectively use IT such as Word, Excel and Outlook If you are looking for an excellent opportunity to develop your career further, please get in touch today
