Financial Controller
Reigate (Hybrid)
Salary up to 95k plus bonus and benefits

Who are we looking for:
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller who has experience managing a large and evolving team.
The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive in stakeholder management and possess a natural ability to resolve problems and issues in a practical and transparent manner. A strong track record in improving financial systems and processes is essential, as is experience in change management and taking the business and individuals on a growth and change journey.
You will need to be able to be in the Reigate office 3 – 4 days per week during onboarding and then this could transition to 2 – 3 days per week.
What we need you to do as a Financial Controller:
Lead and oversee the production of monthly accounts and associated management information reporting, ensuring insightful and accurate information on business performance
Manage all operational aspects of day to day finance including AP, AR, Cost and inventory accounting, revenue recognition, expenses and payroll
Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports; ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
Be responsible for the balance sheet, including financial transactions, reconciliations and VAT as well as all statutory returns
Monitor all payments and ensure that all relevant regulations are being complied with
Complete month and year-end processes, preparation of budgets, forecasts, and commercial business plans
To effectively manage the team and resources to ensure deadlines in respect of payroll, expenses, AP, AR and reporting are met
Review and manage internal financial controls and procedures, ensure these are continually reviewed in line with company growth and make recommendations for improvements where required
What we need from you as a Financial Controller:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with experience in a finance lead role
Strong technical capabilities in respect of operational finance, well versed in finance business processes (AP, AR etc) and accounting packages
Excellent commercial judgment in undertaking role and in making recommendations for risk management/change
Highly analytical and able to work with large data sets, identifying trends and information quickly to provide recommendations / solutions
Positive and ‘can do’ approach, willing to support the whole finance function from manual entry to larger products
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong verbal and written ability
Good influencing ability and able to deal with a variety of stakeholders
Strong organisational skills with good time management and ability to prioritise and work under pressure
Good people management experience, with experience setting objectives and supporting skills development
Excellent attention to detail and a sense of personal accountability
Competent in the use of systems including MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel) – advanced skills in Excel in particular
