The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for building marketing strategy and organization enablement designed to support the adoption and retention of the IP Management Software portfolio at Clarivate.
This position is highly collaborative, working globally in partnership with strategy, sales, customer care, and the broader marketing organization. To be successful in this role, the Director of Product Marketing must be a critical thinker, business- and commercially-minded, an exceptionally strong writer, and highly organized.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, or related, in a B2B environment
- Bachelor's degree required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical capabilities and the value of products
- Ability to work in a team environment and with cross-functional teams and solve challenges collaboratively
- Able to be a self-starter, to set priorities and manoeuvre the corporate environment
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business needs
- Experience working within Product Marketing at a B2B firm ideally with a software/tech focus
- Management and mentorship of a diverse team of marketers
- Natural intellectual curiosity for how things work
- Proclivity for marketing and conveying complex ideas in easy-to-understand ways
- Attentive to detail and committed to quality
- Pragmatic, analytical, good at prioritization and trade-offs
- Leadership skills and ability to influence peers and counterparts in cross-functional teams

What will you be doing in this role?
- Hiring and performance management: Lead a team of product marketers, including recruiting, career development and performance management.
- General planning: Build comprehensive and measurable marketing plan for the IP Management Software and Application portfolio.
- Product positioning: Drive the development of clear and compelling messaging and value propositions that differentiate product sets in the market globally and by region.
- Launch planning: Lead the launch of new products and commercial programs driving revenue and retention in partnership with product management, go-to-market, segment and demand marketing.
- Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition of the product sets and enhancements to sales while assisting in the development of messaging and tools that enable sales to grow the business.
- Content creation: Partner with creative teams (internally and externally) to manage and track the development of content pieces, including sales tools, marketing content, competitive battle cards, web content, social media content, and more.
About the Team
This role will report into the Senior Director, Product Marketing within our Intellectual Property segment. The role will lead a team of 2 Product Marketing Managers as well as collaborate with the wider marketing team and stakeholders from other business functions.
Hours of Work
Full-time, permanent role based out of our London office on a hybrid basis; 2 days per week in the office. The role may require some international travel on occasion.
