Science Teacher

Science teacher - Manchester - Spring term A dedicated and passionate Science Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Manchester, to join them teaching key stage 3 & 4 from January for the whole of the spring term, until Easter on a full-time basis. This position is open to ECTs as well as experienced science teachers. Please do specify if you have a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics. You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS: Location Manchester Position Science Teacher (KS3 & 4) Type of work Full time Start date January 2025 End date - April 2025 Likely Duration - 1 term Contract type Temporary Minimum rate of pay from GBP162.31 per day. Hours 8:30am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in science connected subject. Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B. Ed, QTS, etc) in science Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
