We are seeking a professional and experienced Household Manager to oversee the comprehensive management of an exclusive private estate based in Berlin, Germany. The House Manager will ensure the smooth running of the entire household, coordinate staff, manage the budget, and ensure the owners' lifestyle is optimally supported. The Household manager will serve as the primary point of contact and will also act as a Personal Assistant for the Principals and their family, handling all their private matters. The household is fully staffed, counting up 9 permanent members of the household team which is likely to grow once the House manager is appointed. This role will suit a competent professional able to multitask and troubleshoot. The ideal candidate will speak English and German and will be eligible to work in Germany (EU passport a must). Head Butlers wil relevant experience in the sectors are also invited to apply should they wish to pursue a career in household management. The role starts asap , interviews taking place now. Applications: OPEN Amongst the duties: Up to 48 hours per week, according to German employment laws Full staff management, recruit, train, and manage household and service staff. Create work schedules, monitor work quality, and conduct regular performance reviews Plan and execute formal and informal events, coordinate business meals, dinner parties, and receptions. Assess and ensure quality of service is kept at high standards Luggage inventory and management Oversee the household budget, track expenses, and handle payments. Provide regular financial reports to the owners. Coordinate repairs, maintenance, inspections, and external service providers, working closely with the caretaker and gardener. Schedule and manage private appointments for the owners, including doctor visits, beauty treatments, hair appointments, and restaurant reservations. Ensure all appointments are efficiently planned and met. Daily care for two dogs (small size), including feeding, grooming, and arranging regular walks. Coordinate vet visits and vaccinations. Skillset sought: Eligible to work in Europe Bilingual German and English Previous experience in similar roles as Household manager and or Head Butler in private households, or senior staff in a luxury hotel. Strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in staff management. Discretion, loyalty, and the ability to work under high standards. Comprehensive knowledge of household management, event organization, and guest services. A proactive "can-do" attitude with a positive mindset, capable of tackling challenges. Flexibility regarding working hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events. Occasional travel may be required, along with adjustments to working hours. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands. Strong financial and budget management skills. A valid driver’s license is required.
