Injection Moulding Setter £31,500 PA £15.00 per hour whilst temporary. Job Purpose To carry out mould setting production runs and troubleshooting to ensure the delivery of quality products Key Duties and Responsibilities * To ensure injection moulding processes can achieve targeted quality and efficiency levels, on new and existing products * To ensure finished moulding is fit for function * To effectively and safely carry out tool changes and setting of machines for production in line with appropriate quality standards. * To perform colour and material changes * To expect everyday assembly and afterwork of finished components * To ensure safe operating practices on all machines and ancillary equipment at all times. * To recommend modifications / improvements to increase productivity, improve quality and / or reduce waste. * To perform basic machine maintenance and trouble shooting and correct as necessary with documentation as required. General * As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the post holder. The post holder will be expected to carry out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as required by the company. * The post holder will ensure that they understand and act in compliance with all company policies and procedures including those detailed in the Employee Handbook and Health and Safety Policy and act at all times in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations. Person Specification Experience * A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Injection Moulding production / engineering environment. * Experience of setting, operating and troubleshooting a wide range of production tooling within an Injection Moulding environment. * Experience of working with and maintenance of Boy Machinery – Alpha Procam Series an advantage Knowledge/ Skills * Thorough knowledge of plastics, i.e., ABS, All nylon range, PVCs, Polyethenes Personal Attributes * Good communication skills * Ability to work autonomously or part of a team * Analytical * Organised with excellent time management skills * Attention to detail
