Job Title: Labour and Payroll Officer Location: Kingston, London, England, UK Type of Role: Direct Hire POSITION OVERVIEW: Our team is currently looking for a Labour and Payroll Officer for a client in the Oil and Gas industry. The Labour and Payroll Officer will manage payroll processes, ensure compliance with relevant labour laws, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure timely and accurate disbursement of wages. This role also involves handling employee queries regarding payroll, benefits, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Assist with end to end payroll processing Prepare and process payroll for employees on a timely basis, including calculating wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and other types of payments. Verify timesheets, attendance records, and other related data. Ensure payroll procedures comply with relevant local, state, and federal labour laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Handle wage garnishments, deductions, and ensure proper record-keeping for tax and audit purposes. Oversee employee benefits such as insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring correct deductions and allocations. Maintain employee records, including personal details, job information, and attendance. Assist in the onboarding process by setting up new employees in the payroll system. Assist employees with understanding their benefit packages. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for management and other stakeholders. Work closely with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate data entry and processing. Participate in audits related to payroll or labour compliance. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 2-5 years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role. Knowledge of UK payroll systems and HMRC regulations. Strong understanding of employment and labour laws. Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Sage) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.
