About the Role:

Key Responsibilities
Deliver High-Quality Geography Lessons: Plan and teach lessons that cover physical and human geography, promoting curiosity about the world and its diverse environments.
Foster an Inclusive Learning Environment: Create a classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of geographical concepts.
Monitor and Assess Progress: Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students’ academic and personal development.
Collaborate with Colleagues: Share best practices with the humanities department, contributing to the school’s overall mission of academic excellence and student support.
Participate in Extracurricular Activities: Engage in geography-related extracurriculars, field trips, or school events that extend learning beyond the classroom.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Degree in Geography or a closely related field.
Teaching Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.
Skills: Strong communication skills, commitment to professional growth, and a collaborative spirit.
Additional Requirements: An Enhanced DBS on the update service.
