The Role/Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and comprehensive Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Teach your science specialism with confidence, adapting lessons to suit the diverse learning needs of students. Foster a positive learning environment that promotes curiosity and scientific exploration. Prepare students for GCSE examinations, helping to build their knowledge and exam technique. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to promote academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to develop engaging curriculum plans and share best practices. Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, science clubs, or other initiatives. Ideal Candidate: Hold QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification in Science (unqualified teachers with relevant experience may be considered). Previous experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school, preferably with a track record of raising attainment. Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum, particularly in your specialism. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse needs. A collaborative and proactive approach, working well within a team to enhance student learning outcomes. A passion for Science and the ability to inspire students to develop a love for the subject.
