Boiler Technician

Howdens is looking for a Boiler Technician to join our team at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire, primarily to work on our biomass boiler systems. The role will be to operate, repair and service biomass fuel-burning boilers in accordance with specifications and instructions. Shift - 4 on 4 off (2 days/2nights) 5:45am – 6pm / 5:45pm - 6am Salary - £39,900.64pa (£19.18ph) + Shift Allowance What will you be doing as a Boiler Technician: - Operate biomass boilers and related equipment. - Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing on the boilers. - Carry out minor equipment repairs as needed. - Record operational data and readings accurately. - Take full ownership of boiler systems. - Manage the wood dust extraction process to maintain correct silo levels. - Identify and procure necessary spare parts. - Maintain clean work areas to comply with safety regulations. What do you need to qualify for the Boiler Technician: • Experience, knowledge or understanding of boiler/heating systems • Capable of working independently. • Good organisational, prioritisation and time management skills. • Basic mechanical skills/knowledge • FLT licence.
