Estimator- North London Competitive Salary Our client is one of the UK’s leading Main Contractors seeking a highly skilled & experienced Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join their growing team in North London. As an Estimator you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates by analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: * Lead all the Estimating functions including tender management, post contract negotiation and management of Supplier/ Subcontractor chain. * Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work, materials required and project constraints. * Develop detailed cost estimates for the project including materials, labour, equipment & subcontractor services. * Collaborate in the full tender process from inception to completion. * Preparation of bid prospects ready for presentation to project managers. * Prepare subcontract quotes and ensure compliance with the project specifications. * Participate in meetings both internal and client based and contribute to the best of your knowledge. * Identify potential risks & uncertainties in project estimates, developing solutions to eliminate risks. * Keep updated on market conditions, trends & pricing for materials & labour. * Assist the estimating team in preparing quotations such as undertaking take offs, building up rates, requesting supplier and subcontractor quotations. * Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveyor or relevant discipline. * Significant years of post-qualification experience in Estimator role with focus on Cladding, Metal and Flat Roofing projects. * Dedicated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners. * Proven knowledge in estimating principles, practices, and technologies. * Excellent negotiation, communication, leadership & interpersonal skills. * Knowledgeable in estimating software & tools.
