Job Description:
As a Multi-Sport PE Coach, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality physical education sessions to both primary and secondary school students. We are looking for a proactive and flexible coach who is comfortable working across different sports, from football, basketball, and athletics to swimming and gymnastics. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive environment where students of all abilities can develop their physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess PE lessons in multiple sports for primary and secondary school students.
Adapt coaching techniques to suit the individual needs and abilities of students.
Foster a love of physical activity and promote healthy, active lifestyles.
Encourage students to develop key life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience through sport.
Collaborate with school staff and other coaches to organize extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and events.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students during lessons and activities.
Candidate Requirements:
Relevant PE qualifications (e.g., a degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field).
Coaching certifications in various sports (e.g., Level 2 coaching qualifications in football, basketball, rugby, etc.).
Experience coaching children and young people, ideally in both primary and secondary school settings.
A passion for working with young people and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
First Aid certification (desirable but not essential).
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
