Responsibilities:

Commercial Management:
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise project profitability and growth.
* Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.
* Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow to meet financial targets.
* Collaborate with teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
* Lead commercial negotiations and dispute resolution.

Estimating:
* Analyse project specifications to estimate material, labor, and overhead costs accurately.
* Prepare competitive bids and proposals aligned with client expectations.
* Use industry software to generate precise estimates and cost projections.
* Work with design and engineering teams to develop cost-effective solutions.
* Continuously refine estimating processes for accuracy and efficiency.

Quantity Surveying:
* Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQs).
* Prepare monthly valuations and applications for payment.
* Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimise budgets.
* Monitor expenditures, addressing cost variations and discrepancies.
* Advise on contracts, claims, and cost control strategies to maximise profitability.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
* Proven experience in commercial management, estimating, and quantity surveying within the steelwork fabrication industry.
* Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and commercial negotiation techniques.
