1-2-1 ALN Teaching Assistant

Vetro Education is seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated 1-2-1 ALN Teaching Assistants to work in a Special School in Aberdare, RCT. This Special School have tasked Vetro with finding a number of 1-2-1 ALN Teaching Assistants to take up full time, 1-2-1 roles supporting pupils with ASD, Challenging Behaviour and SEBD Due to the nature of these roles, the success Teaching Assistants can expect to be at this Special School for the duration of the academic year Overview: Title: 1-2-1 ALN Teaching Assistant Pay: £83.50 per day minimum Location: Aberdare, RCT Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm Benefits for a 1-2-1 ALN Teaching Assistant at Vetro. Weekly pay, and no payroll charges Support from an approved Welsh Government Framework Supplier for Wales Flexible working hours to suit your needs Variety of work in Primary, Secondary, SEN, Nursery and FE sectors Vetro Mobile Booking App for communicating shift availability Support from an education-led consultant Free training Agency Worker of the Month competition Entry into our Golden Ticket draw to win £500 every quarter 24-hour registration - register from the comfort of your own home Holiday pay- paid weekly or accumulated in a holiday pot Vetro contributed pension The role: What you'll be doing as a 1-2-1 ALN Teaching Assistant Supporting and supervising learners with ASD, PDA, Global delay Disorder or Challenging Behaviour Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons Assist learners at break time with their lunch Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a 1-2-1 ALN Teaching Assistant At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this References covering the last two years (no gaps) Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one The right to work in the UK Interested?
