Responsibilities: Assist in the managing of the Quality Department effectively by ensuring the highest standards of quality goods are produced by the Leeds site at all times through effective monitoring processes Lead compliance meetings, ensuring all actions are addressed and completed in accordance with timescales Be a BRC and ISO9001 internal auditor and to lead the audit team in conducting all internal quality audits in accordance with the yearly schedule. Support Quality Technicians in their role Be responsible for planning, scheduling and delivering annual hygiene and quality audits and refresher training on site Respond to customer complaints and queries Conduct external visits and audits on suppliers Manage all hygiene related issues on site Communication Be fully aware of customer specification requirements, from both the quality and technical aspects of a job Communicate problems quickly and effectively to relevant personnel and assist with any remedial action needed Respond to information received from customers and suppliers Report to the Management Team with results from second and third party audits, with any recommendations for improvements Requirements and skills: Excellent communication skills essential and ability to ability to understand clear written and verbal instructions HACCP, desirable training level 2 as minimum Qualified internal auditor on BRC and ISO9001 standard Effective problem-solving and logical decision-making ability Good understanding of procedures and processes Quality and safety conscious Experience of a similar role within a packaging manufacturing business Competency in using Microsoft products i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
