Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
About the Client:
Our client is a well-established civil engineering contractor known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, including highways, residential, and industrial. They are looking for an experienced groundworks General Foreman to join the team in the South-West.
Key Responsibilities:
·Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities related to groundworks, drainage, and foundation work.
·Manage site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring efficient performance and quality.
·Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.
·Monitor project progress, quality, and material usage.
·Work closely with the project management team to meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.
·Provide daily reports to senior management and identify any potential challenges on site.
Candidate Requirements:
·Proven experience as a General Foreman in groundworks, foundations, and drainage.
·Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive performance.
·Excellent knowledge of civil engineering and construction processes.
·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
·Familiarity with health and safety standards within the construction industry.
·A valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification (or equivalent).
·Full UK driving licence.
