£33,024 to £41,418 per annum, plus a 15% market supplement of £4,953 to £6,212

Randstad is partnering with Middlesbrough Council to recruit passionate and experienced Social Workers for the Pathways Team.

Job Description:
As a Social Worker within the Pathways Team, you will support young people aged 16 to 25 as they transition from care to independence.
You will work to ensure that these young people have the necessary resources, support, and guidance to navigate this crucial stage of their lives.
Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of young people, conducting assessments and developing Pathway Plans to support their transition to independent living.
Work closely with young people to identify their needs, aspirations, and support requirements in areas such as education, employment, housing, and emotional well-being.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to care leavers, helping them access appropriate services and opportunities.
Collaborate with internal and external agencies, including housing, education, and health services, to ensure that care leavers receive a coordinated package of support.
Advocate for young people's rights and ensure their voices are central to the decision-making process.
Qualifications:
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Experience in working with young people, particularly in a leaving care or transition-focused role.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children (Leaving Care) Act.
