Technical Architect 6-month contract – OUTSIDE IR35 £550 PER DAY Milton Keynes – 2/3 days minimum onsite work Active SC Clearance required Joining a dynamic tech team, in an important area of Central Government secure services, this post plays a crucial role in designing and implementing technology solutions that support the strategic objectives of the organisation. We require a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and the ability to lead complex projects in a collaborative environment who will be accountable for developing high-level and low-level technical designs that meet business, technical and security requirements. A key element of the role will be to provide the technical expertise and quality assurance for all aspects of design, documentation, processes, and products, including assessment of supplier performance. Given the increased complexity of the IT infrastructure, the demands of projects, and the need for a highly secure cyber environment, they seek an experienced professional with a deep understanding of cutting-edge software, hardware, and IT capabilities. This individual should bring innovative solutions to business challenges using technology aligned with the DDT framework. The overall goal is to enhance efficiency, enabling the business to achieve more with less by leveraging artificial intelligence and transforming manual processes into automated workflows with modern technology. Essential Skills: Strong ability to explain technical detail to on technical staff Experience as an Enterprise Architect using architectural standards such as TOGAF Experience in creating technical and architectural HLD and LLD Solid experience around servers, operating systems and networks e.g. hybrid cloud, gateways, PKI, Email, VMware platforms (VCD, VSAN and NSX), Cisco and Palo Alto Experience in design and migration of public cloud capabilities in Microsoft 365, including Azure and AWS Good understanding of cyber essentials, NIST IT Security Principles Additional Requirements: Infrastructure as code, containerisation, microservices Qualified in TOGAF, ITIL, MCSE, VCP or CNNP Contract Details: This is an outside IR35 contract role.
