Platform Engineer – Microsoft Azure We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Platform Engineer to join our Managed Service team, responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). You will support one of our key customers’ applications and services, working closely with IT services, operational, and specialist teams to maintain a robust, scalable, and resilient cloud environment. This role offers flexibility to work remotely, but there may be some travel to client sites or our offices in Newbury. Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage cloud technology strategies and environments, ensuring scalability and performance. Provide expert guidance to support the development and adoption of cloud services across the business. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance cloud infrastructure, recommend improvements, and ensure adherence to security guidelines. Manage and maintain containerized environments following DevOps models. Design, build, and maintain cloud systems using Microsoft Azure technologies. Develop implementation plans for SQL SaaS offerings. Train and mentor IT team members on cloud-based practices and tools Essential Skills and Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure. Certifications: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert. Expertise in cloud architecture, microservices, and containerization. Hands-on experience with PowerShell, infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevOps practices. Proven experience in cloud security, high availability environments, and debugging multi-server services. Background or knowledge in Linux. Experience with MECM, Intune, AVD, and Nerdio Manager Enterprise.
