Behaviour Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Behavioural Mentor to work within a Secondary schools within North Birmingham and the surrounding area, The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with Senior Leadership, Subject Teachers and Students alike, with the objective to promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being and academic success, these roles range from supporting in a SEN Hub, working in small groups or 1-1 mentoring with a student. This role is a developing role, meaning that with help from colleagues you must construct strategies to help students overcome challenges and thrive in their learning environment. Responsibilities include: * Aiding with behavioural issues across the school, providing 1-1 support to students that require individual support * Create a safe & supportive environment for students, within a hub, to express their feelings and concerns * Tracking & assessing students’ behavioural progress, adapting where necessary * Work closely with SENCO and parents to create a support network for students * Liaise with external agencies when necessary to create a fully supportive network for the child * Develop a personal initiative to foster a positive school culture and promote inclusivity Requirements: * Teacher assistant experience - 1 years (preferred) * Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willing to obtain) * Safeguarding & KCSIE (or willing to obtain) * Worked with SEN or SEMH students - 1 years (preferred) * We welcome applicants from similar backgrounds such as: Social Work, Youth Care, Mental Health Professionals and Behaviour Mentors Benefits of working with Progress Teachers Agency: * Highly Rated Agency – Over 100 positive reviews on Google * Long-Term & Permanent Focus – Offering consistency and reliability * Support & Guidance – Ongoing support throughout your application, this includes CV Writing, Interview & Trial preparation as well as profession development * Competitive salary – You will receive Pay to Scale from Day 1 through PAYE (minimum rate is £13.04 p/h) * £100 Referral Bonus - You do not have to be working through us to receive this either Please note that the salary range is so broad with this advert due to different school settings offering different salaries due to more hours/ additional responsibilities.
